Scholarship AWARD 2010

WMM is seeking a competitive, extremely focused, ambitious and goal-oriented individual sort, who wishes to realise the opportunities the sport could bring, and begin approaching Muaythai Sports more like a Career.  

 

This incentive aims to encourage the youngsters of the community to go out and fight a little harder for their ambition.  

 

“The World Muaythai Magazine Amateur Individual Muaythai Scholarship (AIMS) is a form of financial aid to be awarded to an individual predominantly based on his athletic ability, competitiveness and be rewarded an aim to CHALLENGE YOURSELF with Muaythai.”

 

WMM alongsied a panel of peers will shortlist to three fighters, where one outstanding amateur Female and Male for 2010 will be awrded the Muaythai Scholarship for their efforts with the sport.

WHAT IS THE 2011 SCHOLARSHIP?

4x4 MAN

Amateur Queensland Competition 

WMM is seeking partners with five Queensland regional promoters to stage four qualifiers and one competition final.  Each qualifier with see four fighters compete in a 4x4 Man eliminator series with the winners from each region moving on to compete at the finals in a four man eliminator, where there can only be one winner.  

For the winner of the AIMS 2011 -  WMM will cover $1000 in total for tuition fees (money that the student needs to pay to study),  Or contribute towards the tuition fees. The scholarships can include money for other things such as food and accommodation during the study period.  This scholarship particularly targets students of Muaythai clubs who have a significant interest in becoming a fitness education teacher. 

WHY IS THE SCHOLARSHIP BEING OFFERED?

WMM is committed to improving the learning outcomes of Muaythai students, by creating a pathway to education.  This initiative is partnered by industry alliances with the aim to increase the pool of qualified Muaythai practitioners. 

HOW WILL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS BE SELECTED?

Queenalnd regional promoters will meet the criteria in matching the fighters.

FIGHT WEIGHT - 69kg - 72kg. FIGHTS - 0 to 5 Fights Only.

THE SCHOLARSHIP WINNER WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

Enroll and remain enrolled in the approved course for which their scholarship has been awarded.  Successfully complete the approved course within the specified time frame. Provide evidence of course enrolment, commencement and academic progress; and sign a Scholarship Agreement accepting the scholarship offer, terms and conditions.
